DeSoto Scanner ("the App") is an internal inventory management tool built for the DeSoto House Hotel. This policy explains how we handle information collected through the App.

Information We Collect

The App collects the following information from authorized staff members:

• Account information: Name, email address, and role (employee, manager, or admin)
• Inventory data: Bottle counts, orders, deliveries, transfers, and count sessions entered by users
• Device tokens: Push notification tokens for sending work-related alerts
• Photos: Bottle images uploaded through the App for inventory identification

How We Use Information

All data is used exclusively for internal hotel inventory management purposes:

• Tracking liquor inventory across hotel departments
• Processing orders, deliveries, pulls, and transfers
• Sending push notifications for orders due, deliveries, and inventory counts
• Generating reports for hotel management

Data Storage

Data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services). Access is restricted to authorized DeSoto House Hotel staff only.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share user data with any third parties. Data is used solely for internal hotel operations. The only external service that may process data is remove.bg for bottle image background removal.

Data Retention

Inventory and activity data is retained as long as needed for hotel operations. User accounts can be deactivated by administrators at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies, and role-based access controls to protect your data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the effective date at the top of this page.
